This is an old folk song, arranged for voices, mallet instruments(xylophones, metalophones), unpitched percussion(triangles, woodblocks) and body percussion.The 5th grade first learned the song, then arranged part of the words into a speech piece, added body percussion, then arranged the piece into a "rondo" form, which repeats the "A" section.In Rondo form, the A section is repeated after a new section is added."Kansas Boys" also included an introduction and a coda.
